Ken talks “Backstory” with Diane Rehm

Ken Auletta has been called "America’s premier media critic." Since 1992 he’s written the "Annals of Communications" column for The New Yorker. His latest book, "Backstory" is a collection of his columns, revised to include new details about the Jayson Blair scandal and other recent media developments. In it Auletta examines the conflicting pull journalists and media owners face between providing a public service and corporate profits.
